How to Apply Traditional (Pre-Pasted) Wallpapers?

Step 1: Prepare the Wall

  • Make sure the wall is smooth, clean, and dry.
  • Remove any existing wallpaper or dirt.
  • If needed, prime the wall with a wallpaper primer for better adhesion.

Step 2: Prepare the Paste

  • Follow the instructions on your wallpaper paste packaging to prepare the adhesive.
  • Apply the paste directly to the wall using a brush or roller.

Step 3: Measure and Cut the Wallpaper

  • Measure the wall and cut your wallpaper to size, leaving extra at the top and bottom.
  • Roll the wallpaper loosely, paste side out.

Step 4: Apply the Wallpaper

  • Start from the top and align the first panel carefully.
  • Use a smoothing tool to remove air bubbles as you apply the wallpaper.

Step 5: Align and Repeat

  • Align the next panel, ensuring the patterns match.
  • Continue applying the wallpaper until the entire wall is covered.

Step 6: Trim Excess

  • Trim off the excess wallpaper with a sharp knife, and smooth out any remaining bubbles.
